Our Mission

We are a team of volunteers with a love of, and expertise in, all things cybersecurity with a focus on cyber for good, supporting ESG values for businesses.

Based in the South West of the UK, our mission is to raise awareness of cybersecurity and provide the SW with help and guidance for skills development, signposting for SME business protection, whilst supporting and advocating for SW cybersec innovators. We do this by bringing together a community of cybersec enthusiasts and enabling regular networking and mutual support opportunities.

Every month we hold a meet up with different speakers and Q&A sessions to open up discussion within the cyber community and keep you up to date on the latest news. Once a year we hold the Secure South West event, a day to bring together experts and focus on some critical aspects of cyber security.

We are part of a larger network of regional clusters coordinated by UKC3 and supported by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and local academic institutes and businesses.

Ways to get involved

We arrange regular meet ups with industry experts

We host monthly meetups which feature local industry leaders and are designed to keep local professionals informed about the latest industry developments.

Once a year we also organize a full-day Secure South West event where we invite experts from across the UK who dive into trending cybersecurity topics.

We’re an established network of cyber professionals

We connect people together through Discord, newsletters, and regular meetups, providing opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Our south west cluster is also part of a nationwide network of cyber clusters. We’re backed by UKC3, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), along with local academic institutions and businesses.

We promote local opportunities in the cyber industry

We leverage our network to promote local career and development opportunities in cybersecurity to help tackle critical skills shortages in the sector.

We share advice about cybersecurity best practice

We helps small businesses to protect themselves from cyber attacks by curating actionable advice and best practices to support SMEs in strengthening their cybersecurity.
